As Regional Sales Manager – Rental Division, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration for our new Houston-based rental branch. This role will focus on building and expanding our rental equipment customer base, establishing strong partnerships, and ensuring long-term success in the region. You will manage existing relationships while identifying new opportunities to increase market share and meet sales goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Grow rental sales revenue in the Houston region through direct and indirect customer channels.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by conducting joint sales calls (in-person and virtual), presentations, and follow-ups.
- Identify, pursue, and close new rental business opportunities with both existing and prospective customers.
- Evaluate customer accounts to ensure satisfaction, effectiveness, and profitability while providing corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure accurate documentation and use of CRM systems for account management, opportunity tracking, and reporting.
- Support customers in becoming proficient with our rental processes, programs, and tools to simplify selection, quoting, and rental transactions.
- Provide feedback to leadership regarding customer performance, competitive intelligence, product development opportunities, and pricing trends.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop promotions, campaigns, and training programs for customers.
- Monitor and ensure that sales objectives are achieved relative to market conditions and competition.
- Deliver training, guidance, and support to customers and internal staff regarding applications, equipment capabilities, and rental processes.
- Assist in customer site visits and calls to strengthen account penetration and increase territory rental sales.
- Prepare and present sales materials, forecasts, and reports while attending required meetings and training seminars.
Qualifications:
- Based in Houston, TX, with willingness and availability to travel up to 60–70% of the time across the region (including overnight travel as needed).
- Strong understanding of the rental equipment sales cycle and proven ability to drive growth in a competitive market.
- At least 3 years of experience in pumps, rental equipment, or related industrial products.
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and effectively to customer inquiries, issues, and challenges.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism even in challenging situations.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and strong organizational skills to ensure proper record keeping and reporting.
- Results-driven, with the ability to identify opportunities, set clear goals, and execute plans to achieve and exceed targets.
